From August 2nd until August 29th, Party Poker will be hosting a special Oktoberfest Poker Race for its Palladium Lounge players in honour of the renowned annual German Oktoberfest.

It's midsummer and fall is just around the corner, which means another exciting Oktoberfest celebration. You can be there as an honored VIP guest of Party Poker at the hub of all the Oktoberfest excitement, in Munich, Germany, with a guest, enjoying all the finest VIP level hospitality.

This is the 200th Oktoberfest, and you can be sure it will be one bicentennial celebration never to forget. Each Party Poker Palladium Oktoberfest Poker Race prize package is a real treat and includes a 2 night stay for you and a guest (including breakfast) in one of Munich's finest luxury hotels, dinner and an open bar in the Allianz Stadium's Davidoff Lounge, an invite to the VIP Party at Club Pacha, a free spa treatment or activity, and let's not forget 2 passes to Saturday night's main event, Oktoberfest 2010.

Party Poker is giving away 35 of these prize packages as well as $75,000 in cash. The competition will be broken down into four VIP points races, one each week of the promotion. Week 1 is August 2nd to 8th, Week 2 is August 9th to 15th, Week 3 is August 16th to 22nd, and Week 4 is August 23rd to 29th.

Party Poker will pay out the top 100 players amounts ranging from $2,000 plus 1,000 overall Oktoberfest leaderboard points to $25 plus 375 overall leaderboard points each and every week. Also if you are outside the top 100 but within the top 500 you will at least receive leaderboard points, to be exact 325 points for places 101 to 150 down to 50 points for places 401 to 500.

Players finishing in the top 30 after the 4 weeks of competition automatically win a Party Poker prize package to the 200th Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. Cash prizes ranging from $1,000 to $500 will also be added to these prize packages for the top 20. A freeroll will be held for the top 500 players to award the remaining 5 prize packages.
