Call
If a player before you made a Bet, you can either Fold, Call or Raise. A Call means that you place the same amount of chips into the middle of the table as your opponent did so far.

Cap
Amount of Raises that can be done per round.

Cash Game
While in tournaments you pay your Buy-In and then play with the chips you were given, in Cash Games you put your actual money in the pot when playing. You can sit down at and leave the table as you please. Another term used for this sort of poker game is Ring Game.

Cash Out
In casinos this means exchanging your chips for cash when leaving the premises. In online poker this term denotes the transfer of the money from your player account to your bank account or the extraction of the money via other Withdrawal Options.

Check
Just like the Call this action allows a player to stay in a hand without having to invest more money. A Check is only possible if no other player before you has placed a Bet or made a Raise.

Check-Raise
A poker strategy where you perform a Check despite having a strong hand, hoping to coax another player into a Bet. If this is the case you subsequently come up with a Raise. Used in order to pull more chips out of an opponent when you are sure you have the better hand. Only downside: The opponent might Check instead of placing a Bet.

One of the four colours Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts and Spades.

Collusion
When two or more players at the same table work together to gain an unfair advantage over other players. With online poker there have been a lot of speculations and accusations in the past, some without any foundation, others have been proven. All this has increased investments into security by online poker rooms in order to ensure a save poker environment. Nowadays all respected online poker rooms keep a hand history of all played cards that are being carefully inspected upon any suspicion.

Community Cards
Also called Board Cards. The Community Cards can be used by all players. In Texas Hold'Em and Omaha there are 5 Community Cards in the middle of the table, consisting of Flop, Turn and River.

Two cards that are directly adjacent in value are called Connectors. I.e. KQ, T9, 54, ...

Cut Card
The Cut Card is placed as the bottom card of a deck by the Dealer after shuffling the cards to avoid an incidental spotting of the actual bottom card of the deck while the cards are being dealt, giving that particular player who saw the card an advantage.

Cut Off
The player sitting directly right of the Dealer.
